The Department of Communications at the College of Physicians and Surgeons has responsibility for the following functions:
Ownership and maintenance of the P&S and CUMC websites as well as central administration websites. Coordination of web development for all P&S departments and centers, as well as CUMC departments that engage the Department of Communications for web development.
Production of print and electronic publications for key audiences including faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, and other supporters of P&S.
Stewardship of P&S strategic branding guidelines, including the maintenance of an identity website.
Communications strategy counsel to P&S schools, departments, divisions and centers for public relations, branding, and key message development.
Coordination of the dissemination of timely information during critical campus and local emergencies to faculty, staff, students, visitors and the public. Drafts and reviews all emergency communications to internal and external audiences and responds to all media calls to the main telephone number, 212-305-3900.
