Welcome to P&S Admissions!

Applying to medical school can be daunting. It can also feel impersonal. However, we pledge to personlize and simplify the process as much as possible. Although academic metrics do matter, we do our best to look at each one of you as an individual. We make every effort to give each applicant fair consideration.

For those of you who are invited to be interviewed, I predict that during your visit you will feel a kind of effervescence in the air here at P&S. This is an energetic place with high student morale, a school where our faculty members place a high value on working closely with students in clinical, research, international, and other relevant settings.

One of the most distinctive features of our medical school is the P&S Club, the most comprehensive student activities organization in American medical education. Founded by Nobel Peace Laureate John Mott in 1894, the P&S Club sponsors over 70 extracurricular groups, adding substantial depth to a program otherwise devoted to scientific and clinical disciplines.

New York City is a big draw for our students, and so is the vibrant neighborhood of Washington Heights, where P&S is located. We encourage our students to learn about the culture, history, politics, resources and needs of this medically-underserved area whose residents are predominately from the Dominican Republic.

If these things beckon to you, we invite your application. We look forward to receiving it!
