Columbia’s Center for Teaching and Learning Fall 2016| Registration is now open

Columbia’s Center for Teaching and Learning is holding orientation sessions this fall for faculty and graduate student instructors. We encourage new and junior faculty, teaching fellows, and teaching assistants in your departments to join us for orientation sessions. To see the available dates and register online, visit bit.ly/orientationgrads and bit.ly/orientationfaculty. The orientation for faculty on the Medical Center campus is on Wednesday, August 24, from 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. in Hammer LL103. Registration is now open. If you cannot attend this session, you are welcome to attend a session on the Morningside Campus. An additional Medical Center session will be offered on Friday, October 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in HSC 202A. Stay tuned for an announcement and registration details. Orientations provide an opportunity for instructors to: ● Get familiar with instructional resources on campus, procedures and policies, and methods for getting a class off to a good start. ● Connect with colleagues as well as teaching support staff at the CTL. ● Explore topics such as preparing to teach, active learning, and teaching and learning with technology. We hope to see you there! -- The Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning
